Founded in Milan in 1916, our company has led the way in transformer technology, delivering high-level solutions infused with the hallmark quality of Made in Italy. Through a vast commercial network and offices in the USA and India, we serve customers worldwide. Year after year, we have embraced and conquered the challenges of our industry, constantly evolving and reaching remarkable milestones.

1916
The beginning
Tamini is founded in Milan, starting its business by producing oil-immersed transformers. This is the beginning of a long legacy of innovation in the energy sector.
1988-1995
The growth
The company continues to grow, partly thanks to several acquisitions, including Verbano Trasformatori S.r.l. (Novara), Officine Elettromeccaniche Lombarde S.r.l. (Legnano) and Veneta Trasformatori Distribuzione S.r.l. (Valdagno).
2000
The USA Market
The Group begins to expand abroad. Tamini Transformers USA marks the opening to the North American market and the challenges set by a new competitive landscape.
2014
The acquisition by Terna Group
Joining the Terna Group gives further solidity to the Company, starting a new phase of growth and strengthening its role in the national energy sector and abroad.
2015
Further Expansion
Tamini continues its growth path with the acquisition of Transformers Electro Services, incorporating the production facilities in Ospitaletto (BS) and Rodengo Saiano (BS).
At the same time, the company strengthens its international presence with the establishment of Tamini India.
2021
The New organization
Tamini joins Terna Energy Solutions, a company that offers specialized solutions in the Energy and Connectivity sectors, further consolidating its commercial presence in Italy, also thanks to the incorporation of two other plants in Ospitaletto (BS) and Rodengo Saiano (BS), and helping to complete Terna Energy Solutions’ commercial offer.
Our Team
A manager with over 25 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has held senior positions at leading organisations such as GME, Acea, TerniEnergia and Green Utility, following a spell at Enertad in the M&A and Business Development departments. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Tamini since 2020 and Head of the Equipment Division of the Terna Group since 2024. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Milan and has completed executive training programmes at SDA Bocconi, the London School of Economics and the London Business School.
HR professional with extensive experience in complex multinational and industrial environments. She has built her career at Citroën Italia, Groupe PSA and Stellantis, holding positions of increasing responsibility in industrial relations, organizational development and HR transformation. She joined Tamini in 2025. She holds a degree in Political Science, a Master’s degree from ISTUD and an ICF Executive Coach certification.
He has gained extensive experience in Finance, Planning & Control within the Terna Group and Tamini, holding positions of increasing responsibility. CFO and member of the Executive Committee since 2018, he has strong expertise in management control, financial reporting and strategic planning. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University.
He has over 25 years of experience in the energy and transformer industry, with expertise in commercial operations and strategic account management. Following an experience at ABB, he joined TES Transformer Electro Service in 2007, which later became part of Tamini. He has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2015. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pavia.
He has built his professional career in consulting, auditing, risk management and corporate governance, holding positions at Ernst & Young, Arriva Italia, NMS Group and PwC. He joined Tamini in 2022, contributing to the development of governance and compliance processes. He holds a degree in Economics and Business from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and an Executive MBA from MIP Politecnico di Milano.
Executive with extensive experience in the industrial, transportation and energy sectors, gained primarily at Alstom Group and GE Power. He joined Tamini in 2021 and leads its operations, leveraging his expertise in supply chain management, quality, industrial excellence and the management of complex manufacturing sites. He holds a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and an Executive MBA from MIP Politecnico di Milano.
IT professional with over 30 years’ experience in the management and transformation of information systems within international manufacturing environments. Following his role as IT Manager at Coronet, he continued his career at Cervotessile, coordinating projects in Italy, Mexico and China. He has been with Tamini since 2022. He specialises in ERP systems and digital innovation, and holds a qualification from SDA Bocconi.
