Tamini Trasformatori Srl, an Italian company of the Terna Group, leader in the design and manufacturing of industrial, power and special transformers, is looking for a Junior Testing Room Technician for its site in Ospitaletto.

Requirements

• High school diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrotechnical Studies.
• Previous experience in similar roles is preferred.
• Strong ability to read, interpret and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office, planning tools).
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude and initiative.
• Good knowledge of both English and Italian.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning activities on transformers in accordance with planning schedules and testing procedures.
• Carry out low-voltage tests on transformer active parts during the various assembly stages as process verification activities to ensure the correct progression of work.
• Collect oil samples for analysis during diagnostic, testing and commissioning phases.
• Interpret test and oil analysis results and prepare internal and official reports to be submitted to customers.
• Work closely with customers to address testing-related issues.
• Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with Tamini’s and customers’ safety requirements.
• Maintain and perform regular checks to ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always used by all personnel present in the test room and under Tamini’s responsibility.
• Act according to the company’s safety and integrity principles, taking responsibility for one’s actions while caring for colleagues and the organization.

Contract Offer

• Contract Type: Initial agency contract for 3 months plus a 9-month extension, followed by direct employment on a permanent contract.
• Collective Labour Agreement: Metalworkers’ National Collective Agreement (Industrial Companies).
• Employment Category: Blue-collar Worker.
• Grade: D2.
• Work Location: Ospitaletto.
• Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Starting Salary: Not less than €25,731.81 gross per year.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• 2D and 3D mechanical design of steel structures, including structural verification and preparation of technical drawings for assigned projects.
• 2D and 3D mechanical design of the active part of power and industrial transformers, including winding sections, core assemblies, and connections.

The role involves carrying out detailed engineering calculations and design activities with a focus on technical and economic optimization.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong aptitude for mathematical calculations and design optimization
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, both within engineering and with other company functions
• Good command of the English language
• Basic knowledge of CAD design software

Previous work experience with oil-immersed transformers (or within the electromechanical sector) will be considered a plus.
