Tamini Trasformatori Srl, an Italian company of the Terna Group SpA, a leader in the design and production of industrial, power, and special transformers, is looking for a Proposal Engineer to join its Legnano office.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensuring the preparation of quotations in line with the formal and substantive requirements requested by the customer, in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain departments, while respecting established timelines and company procedures.
- Preparing the technical documentation necessary for drafting proposals, in compliance with customer requirements and deadlines.
- Providing adequate support to Sales and Engineering teams for understanding and evaluating cost estimation methods and approaches.
- Managing qualification and pre-qualification activities for tenders and supplier register enrollment, as well as subsequent maintenance.
- Conducting preliminary administrative and contractual analysis of specifications related to requests for proposals, in coordination with relevant company functions.
- Collecting, verifying, consolidating, drafting, and managing documentation required for proposal preparation.
- Supporting commercial reporting.
- Assisting in managing the commercial sales network (agents).
- Handling operational activities (job order openings).
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with various stakeholders (internal/external).

Main responsibilities include:
- Analyzing contracts received from customers and performing an initial review in accordance with company policies.
- Validating and assessing risks and mitigation measures in coordination with the Sales department.
- Independently managing projects, coordinating the various functions involved to ensure compliance with timelines, costs, and quality, while interfacing with international clients.
- Coordinating activities to define project setup and preparing all documentation related to project management in accordance with company procedures.
- Managing communication with the client and handling document flow both externally and internally.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Proficiency in English and preferably another language (Spanish, French, or German).
- Ability to understand contractual documents and technical specifications, including those in foreign languages.
- Problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and adaptability to change.
- Availability for short national and international business trips.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment, particularly transformers, is preferred.

Main responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of reference standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) for performing acceptance tests on new and repaired transformers.
- Understanding of equipment setup and instrumentation for transformer testing.
- Familiarity with the construction aspects of power and industrial transformers typically manufactured at the Legnano plant.
- Performing acceptance tests on transformers, with a focus on planning and defining test programs and drafting execution procedures.
- Carrying out low-voltage tests on active parts of transformers during various assembly phases, such as process checks to ensure correct progress of work.
- Performing oil sampling for related analysis during diagnostic, testing, and acceptance phases.
- Interpreting test results and oil analysis, and issuing internal and official reports for submission to customers.
- Coordinating internal and external resources to ensure testing activities are completed on time and within budget.
- Working closely with customers on test-related issues and ensuring all activities comply with Tamini and customer safety requirements.
- Maintaining and performing frequent checks to ensure PPE is always used by all personnel in the test room under Tamini’s responsibility.
- Acting according to safety and integrity principles, taking responsibility for one’s actions while caring for colleagues and the company.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Availability and flexibility for customer emergencies and ability to perform factory activities with minimal supervision.
- Computer skills (Excel, Office, planning tools).
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to formulate solutions to technical problems.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Proactivity and self-initiative.
- Good knowledge of English and Italian.
- Availability to work on 3 shifts.

- Structural design and verification of mechanical frameworks.
- Preparation of assembly drawings for service and transport configurations, along with related documentation.
- Reading technical specifications and interfacing with customers when necessary.
- Performing oil sampling for analysis during diagnostic, testing, and acceptance phases.
- Interpreting test results and oil analysis, and issuing internal and official reports for submission to customers.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of English.
- Proficiency in IT systems.
- Knowledge and use of 2D/3D design software.
